I dive JDC frequently. Several times a month. Thanks
Perhaps we've met, I've been diving with JDC for about 10 years. I generally get up to Jupiter once or twice on each visit to Boynton Beach, have about 70-80 trips with them. If you here them call my name off the roster, introduce yourself.

Good diving, Craig

Will do, Julie here

I have a neuromuscular problem am looking for the MOST efficient, ergonomic fins to minimize leg spasms and maximize the limited leg strength I have. I have used snorkel fins in the past because they are shorter and light weight. I only dive warm water and travel to the tropics. The SP GO and GO sport seem like good options. Any recommendations for one over the other given my condition? Other suggestions?
The Force Fin Pros or their flying Force are very efficient for flutter kick and easy for frog kick, though not as powerful for frog as other choices. Their general theory is they use the same muscles as you do walking. Power kick on extension, then easy recovery. The foot pocket and blade mean less stress on the ankles. They're very small for travel.

I would not go with the original Force Fins as, to me, they are not powerful enough for scuba. But if your issues is very severe they might be suited. Originals are common on ebay. The pros less often. They're both expensive new.

I've dove Pros for most of my, NorCal, diving with ease for flutter, frog, and back. I now use Hockey which are more powerful and better for technical kicks but not as easy gentle flutter kicking as the Pros, so likely not the thing for you.

Several threads on here about them. Including from some who could not use any other fin due to medical issues. Take care in reading whether people might be describing the originals or the pros in their 'I got some on ebay and they s**k.'. Well if they got the originals, or maybe the tube fishing, yes those are not very powerful at all. And for technical you really want Hockey or Excellerating.

ETA: The flying are a recent tweak to the pros that help stabilize them more during the stroke. That might be nice for you. They are even more expensive. Pros, or maybe for you originals, would be the place to start.

How is the sizing on these? My only experience with Scuba Pro fins is with Jets and their sizing is runs small.

Bought the Scubapro Go Sport, dove with them today. PERFECT for me. Much less effort required for propulsion. Worked just as well with frog kick as flutter. Maneuverability great. Significantly less energy exertion. Very comfortable.

What size did you get?
I'm trying to get an overall length from boot pocket to fin tip to see if they would fit in my luggage better.

For those worried these are too small to be powerful - for many people including myself - most scuba fins are too big to be powerful. I'm an ex swim teamer and even though I'm 6' 2" tall (187cm) I prefer a smaller quicker to a large slow kick. To me big fins are like trying to drive my car in 3rd gear from a stop instead of 1st gear, they require too much effort and I can't get up the rpm I need. This is most noticeable in flutter kick, not so muck with frog.

The other thing I like about my original GOs are thy give me great feel for the blade position which helps for frog or back kick. With big flexible fins I don't always know what the tip of the blade is doing.

For my DM timed 800m swim I tested my GOs against my much larger cold water Mares Quatro+. The scubapro GO was much faster.

Can any of you (@lexvil?) comment on how well these work for back kicking? And how they compare to something like the Deep6 Eddy or Hollis F1 for back kicks?

THey work but I can’t really say how well since I’m not good at back kick, I’m old and broken down and that kick just hurts to much to do often, seem to do at least as well as the Eddy.
