Thanks all, for your tips/suggestions - very helpful.
Well, we're a bit OCD about such things, so I'll be labeling them all one way or another - but you raise a good question: is it common practice to leave the transmitter attached to one's reg long-term? We are recreational divers, typically do 1-2 trips a year (traveling to warm water destinations). I had assumed we just attached the transmitters as we were assembling our gear at the destination, and disconnect when breaking down our gear for the trip home...
Awesome - I did not know about these. I can imagine plenty of uses, thanks for the pointer.
We also use Yellow/Red for our gear. Didn't know about the custom startup screens - I will investigate that once the unit arrives.
Ah, good tip. Off to the model airplane shop for some Testors.
Yeah, pretty sneaky I am.
I've yet to remove my tx from my reg set so if your regs are already adequately distinguishable then I don't see the need just because you added a tx to your first stage.

I use the thinnest size of these and it works great on dive computers and transmitters as well as spools/reels.

Mako sells the Trident paints. A simple dot on the transmitter and another on the band of the Perdix makes it easy for us to know quickly which sets go together, including spare transmitters. Wife's are yellow, mine are red. Also created custom graphics for the Perdix startup screens with our names and the default transmitter number.

One should not really use nail polish on plastics as many contain solvents that will damage the plastic. Instead, use acrylic model paint like that made by Testors.

Good plan!
