Ideally the course is directed to those that own Deep 6 Regs. I can't certify someone to work on other brands regs, it isn't cool.
If somebody wants to take the class to learn all they have to do is say something, I have no issue with them attending and learning. Just keep in mind that I am teaching a Deep 6 class so specifics will be my brand specific
@freename the course sounds very interesting, but I really don't own Deep6 Regs, so I am not the target audience. I am sorry, but I'm out.

I can issue you a PADI Equipment specialty card after as well if you want. :)

Thanks, but I think that the best option is for me to definitively withdraw now. That way, I am not doing it last minute and leaving anyone in a bind.

btw, the class is not limited to 6, that was how many needed to make it happen. 10 max

@Hoag - sorry to hear it... though I'll say that many regs are pretty similar in their operation, so even though this is focused on Deep6 regs I'm suge you'd get something out of it. I know that I found it quite informative when they went into some 'example' (i.e., fake) regs when I did an equipment class last and the even without the specifics the general points were quite enlightening. Getting this taught by a manufacturer with their actual regs isn't something that seems to happen very often unless you happen to work for a shop (... and especially at this price point... personally, I think it a phenomenal opportunity... but those are just my 2 cents).

@cerich - thanks for your replies, I'll let my colleague know that equipment will be made available. I think, assuming that he is in the country, he'll jump at this one. But, I'll confirm. And in the meantime, I'll continue to look for others who may be interested and see if I can boost the numbers.

@freename, please add me to the list of potential attendees. (I'm in depending on the date).

@cerich I assume the course is designed for total newbies as I never serviced reg myself?

btw I own Deep6 Regs / Eddy fins and highly recommend them to others.

I live near Toronto, own a Deep6 reg and am definitely in for the course.

If I lived near GTA I'd join up in a heartbeat.

So to summarize where we are right now... proposed date of either March 3rd or 4th, somewhere near the Toronto airport. For the attendee list, as I have it:

All-in Yes's
1. @Dogbowl
2. (x2)
3. @freename
4. @Tournesol2000
5. @p_kos

Tentatives
6. @Bierstadt (pending passport renewal)
7. @Eptel (depending on the date)
8. @freename 's colleague (depending on the date)

Vacancies
9.
10.

@cerich ... what do you say, can we get you to commit to this clinic happening? Do you have a preferred date for it? And maybe @Hoag will no longer be bringing Timmies, but I suppose I could take on that role instead...

@freename , thanks for taking on the organizational role. Very grateful!

I suppose that once we get a firm date, we could also post on some of the GTA Facebook pages to recruit additional potential attendees.
