Largest Freshwater Spring in the WORLD! CHECK!!!

Yesterday, along with my buddies Bailey, Jeff, Wes and several members of the Electric City Dive Club, I had the opportunity to dive the largest Freshwater Spring In the world! Giant Springs is located on the banks of the Missouri River and is also birthplace of the the shortest river in the world, The Mighty Roe River, a whopping 201 feet long!
Disclaimer: There is some bunch out of Oregon that claim that the "D" River is the shortest, but they measured it at extreme high tide, which we in Montana believe is cheating... so THEY can take their BRINY CREEK and TRAVEL UP IT TILL THEY LOSE THEIR FLIPPIN PADDLE!!!! PANT PANT PANT!!! Sorry about that

Anyway... The Spring is absolutely beautiful and spills 156 gallons of the cleanest, tastiest water per day. Ok, ok... The pool is only about 40 in diameter and you are going to be hard pressed to go deeper than 15 feet. Never the less it was an awesome dive. The Springs are home to a school of trophy size Rainbow Trout as well as a lot of little fish. The coolest things is to dive down and stick you face into one of the cracks in the bottom, remove your regulator and take a long deep drink of this incredibly pure water.
Now don't go calling your travel agent just yet. The Springs are located in a State Park and is not open to diving. We get special permission twice a year to clean out the vegetation and other stuff that people throw into the pool. Yesterday netted about $5.00 in change, a couple of foreign coins and pair of sunglasses. Over all what a great day in one of the coolest little places that our State has to offer.

I don't want to hurt your feelings but Wakulla Spring in Florida has an average daily flow of 250 million gallons per day and Little River in Suwanne county Florida is about 150 feet long.

Cute little spring, but hardly the largest in the world - not even in the running.

Starting in 2006 Guinness World Records did not list a shortest river category, but the Kovasselva river on the island Hitra in Norway is only 20 meters long. The Roe River is the shortest in the United States, at 61 meters.

When I first read your post, I though you meant the pool was 40 inches in diameter, coupled with 156 gallons a day flow. I was thinking that's a tough dive
