My baby boy (Ethan Martin McCollum) is due to arrive on 4/30 so I'm guessin' I'm gonna miss this one... *sigh*... oh well... will shoot for the Fall. :)

Hey, when he arrives, make sure you join FDA (Future Divers of America) on FB. Get a pict with a diving theme or dive gear in it and post it and you and he are members. Congrats!!

Mike's in NC right now; I gave him a call and he took down the dates for the Spring M & G and will put it in the books as soon as he gets back. A reminder call in a week or so won't hurt though.

To all you lurkers out there: You know you always wanted to experience a GLWC MnG and now is the time to commit. We want new faces around our campfire---we need fresh meat to cook:eyebrow:

I called Jody and Mike today. Jody said that Denny reserved the turn around so we are good for the group.

I told her that we needed the normal order of wood for the weekend and she said she would take care of that. I then moved on to the delicate topic about drinking alcohol at the quarry. Jody said that it was ok to drink on site and be open about it, so long as:
1. if you are drinking alcohol, your diving is over for that day, and
2. we dont get belligerent and stupid silly with the booze.

This is wonderful news to me. So I say, who is bringing the bottle because I will surely have beer with me.

Question - Would someone be willing to bring or let me use a spare pony bottle set up (around 30 - 40 cu ft) for me to try a dive or two with one. I am considering getting a pony but I want to see how it feels to dive with one before I go out and buy one.

Thanks ahead of time.

Bring her and some extra dive gear, you can set a record making the first baby born underwater!

Well its official, my sister (Elizabeth) is on a plane today headed to Hawaii to live so she will not be attending this years M&G. Maybe the fall M&G on Oahu? She can arrange it!

That's awesome. I wish I could land a job in Hawaii. The dog and myself should be there for the MnG on Saturday at the very least. Glad we got the alcohol thing squared away. It wasnt too fun trying to keep a low profile drinking while Mike sat next to me all night.

Hey lucky; I've got a 40 pony you can try out when I'm diving my H-valve. I usually only use my pony when I'm diving with an 80 or if I'm doing some deeper stuff and want extra/redundant gas.

I have two Al 40s with stage straps that I'll try to remember to bring if anyone needs/wants to use one. However, I don't have a spare DIN regulator, so it may be less useful to some.
