Hmmm... what if you brought an iPod playing Bananarama?

...or Harry Belafonte singing, "Come, Mr. Tally Man, tally me banana... Daylight come and we wanna go home"?

...or the Japanese noise rock band Melt Banana?

...or the kid's songwriter named Shana Banana?

...or the Hanna-Barbara cartoon band Banana Splits?

I guess the iPod goes overboard!

Does the silliness of superstition have no end? C'mon people, it's the 21st century!

Well, I'm grown, and I still don't walk under ladders, go around black cats crossing the road, (note that I have a black cat though), avoid living on the 13th floor, throw salt over my shoulder if I spill some, and say,"Bless you," after people sneeze.

I also don't expect anyone to agree with me just because I think it's so. Make your own decisions. Respect other's traditions, or not. I was raised to be respectful of others. I also have no problem with your beliefs. They are yours and don't affect me. I won't try to force my opinions on anybody.

Now I think your getting it! I have seen people bring Cocaine on boats and we are talking about a legal fruit! ??????? If its not illegal you have no right to tell anyone what they can or can't posses! What next, no pants? No bras? hummm:shocked2:

At the end of the day, It's his/her boat, so his/her rules......

Exactly!

This bares repeating.

Like I said in a previous post, I have no desire to dive with much less be stuck on the same boat with a guy that will argue with the Captain, stomp his feet, wring his hands all over something as stupid as a banana.

What next, no pants? No bras? hummm:shocked2:
Hmmm, this maybe good, maybe really bad. Depending on the customer base aboard. :cool2:

Crazy Bananas

I respect your feelings PW, as much as I would those who have different feelings, trying to not insult any. If it was your boat, I'd want to respect your boat regs.

How big of a deal is it to not carry bananas onboard without asking?

Don, the problem is, that is only one of thousands of other things someone could, might possibly have on a list they don't want on the boat.

I think if a captain wants to post a giant "No Banana's allowed - I am afraid of them" sign, I will respect it... otherwise...I will bring on whatever fruit I can find....

Re 1.

I hope he bought you a new lunch.

Welcome to a very old thread newcomers.

As long as you let me know ahead of time, I am good with your rules, if it's your boat. If I don't like them, I can always go to another boat.

On the other hand, I run our boats do this doesn't matter. And I don't care about bananas on mine,(especially if you bring food to share with me!!). :rocker:
