We were down for mini-season. The dives were great. Top-to-bottom in 80'. We were diving with some guys that worked for the Plam Beach Post and we made it in the paper.

This is the pic that made it into the paper.

We went out of Boynton on the Starfish Enterprise.

Have fun,

Ryan.

Very nice, I can't wait to get down there...

Deal. Will check with Marvel, see if she can get some time to hang out. Perhaps in the evening, as I know she works. So Bruce, what you said but back it up an hour.

BT - go ahead and grab a room for yourself. GCD/Scott5644 I've sent a text to Marvel to c which hotel it is that she always recommends. As soon as I get that information and compare hotels, I will let you know which one I am going to book for us.

Joystershell is going to be meeting us for lunch after the boat dives with Kev, perhaps some others as well. :) If it is all right by you guys, we usually do a little buffet near Two Georges Marina. Chinese buffet with sushi - good price and good food :multi:

Marvel chiming in as requested.... :D

Unfortunately, I am on call for the next week & cannot join you :shakehead: BUT here's some hotel/motel info in LBTS. Since you are planning to beach dive this is, IMHO, going to be the best spot for you to stay- LBTS diving is great (as you already know, MissD).

For starters, here's a link to the LBTS hotel web site. I would suggest that you choose a place below Commercial so that you can dive off Datura or my side yard- Hibiscus. Anything below 4400 El Mar Drive will get you there. Even numbers are on the beach, odd numbers accross the street. If you are not really concerned about having a swimming pool & want to save money, I would reccommend the Sea Echo- right across the street from my house. Betty is very nice & the place is most definitely diver friendly. There's a grill & big old shade tree to sit under post dive. Lot's of resaurants within walking distance of these hotels, BTW.

Next door to me is the Costa Del Sol, a time share that rents by the night also. Pool & such with the added bonus of being able to walk right out onto the sand & into the water. On Datura (beachside) there is the Windjammer to stay in. There are showers at every portal but there are no public restrooms. We've got a pretty nice beach that's also good for swimming, sunning & snorkling. I can lend some beach chairs to y'all if you need them.

Hope that helps- looking forward to seeing y'all!

Thanks Marvel! I think I will be saving that post - especially since I have only asked this same info a bajillion times

With that, I have booked a one bedroom apartment w/ Betty at the Sea Echo for $85. Two twin beds and one sofa sleeper. We'll save on parking here and as Marvel said, and I can attest, we can walk to restaurants. So once we park we are done driving for the day and we have no pesky meter to feed:D

Sounds good to me.

Cool. It's a couple bucks more than the other place but for the convenience of walking to the dive site and restaurants, which will in turn save on gas and meter money, it made sense.

U going ot keep an eye on that for us?

Spoke to GCD today and he suggested we bring three tanks. We can do two day dives then a dusk/night dive, if we so choose. The best night dive I have done to date was at this spot with Marvel and Scuba Jenny.
