Yes Jon, I forgot Out of the Blue! Superb accommodation.

:D

No probs... I didn't mention atlantis on purpose to avoid Rudi's wrath! :14:

hehe... no fear Matt, Atlantis PG would be the other one of my Top 3 list.. as we know where some owner, CD and Instructors were trained it must be good if there is a bit of the education left... hehe:wink: And like in a post before it is a nice facility, great service, good food. The only thing I am concerned is the safety of guests and this is something I take very serious ...

Why do you concern about the safety of guests in Atlantis?

What is the problem?

A lot of people have liked Atlantis... maybe I'll check them out on my next trip there. Then again El Galleon/Asia Divers will give me a discount since I've stayed with them before.... :-? Decisions, decisions....

I haven't visited or posted in the forum for ages. And just stumbled across this thread while searching for Duma info.... Anyway, my PP 10 worth:

Long time diver at La Laguna Beach Club and Dive Centre. First visited during a forced Philippines stopover during SARS and have been there some 30 times since. Love the place, love the crew. Very flexible diving usually since they have plenty of guides, although weekends can be busier and less flex due visitors from Manila. But I've regularly dived with just a guide and no one else - great for photography. Wanna sit at 25m for 40 min photographing one pygmy sea horse? No drama. Frank Doyle - runs the dive side of the business - terrific bloke. Donno runs the resort side - also terrific guy. Great instructors there like Simon, Leo, Oying. Yes, LLBC a bit more exy accommodation-wise - you could stay elsewhere and just dive there, but very comfy flopping there.

Dive Dojo: great, newer operation. The owner, Paul, is a mate of mine (we fly jets together in Aus - have known him for ages). Ethei introduced me to Tec diving - the bugger got me hooked. He's a terrific instructor and a great bloke. Paul "Daddy" Nielson is working with them to build a first-rate tec facility (he's VERY well known - ask around). Trendy - another great instructor there. Great team. Smaller, more personal operation compared to LLBC. No accom on site but they can organise it. Whereas LLBC has everything there for you.

I continue to base out of LLBC but pop down to Dojo for drinks and occasional dives.

Can't go wrong really with either choice. And whilst I've had less to do with Atlantis and AD, they are also top notch. Again, great people.

Ah, PG, gotta get back very soon....

i think Atlantis put guest's safety at the top of their priorities....! matt is just being silly.... :D crazy resort manager, that matt reed is...

Yup, that's about how it was for me too! I had no interest in tech diving whatsoever when I got there... Ethei showed me how interesting, challenging and fun it can be when done properly!

I didn't get to meet paul. He was (and still is I believe) doing a pilot training course while I was there. But hopefully on a next trip... When??? Don't know.... But there will be a next trip someday...:D

Paul, Ethei and I go waaaaaayyyyyy back. One day you'll have to ask Paul about the picture he took that was given to my wife and I as a wedding present. Paul will tell you a great story.....awesome photo...just off a wee bit.....WE LOVE THOSE GUYS!!
