I plan to go to PG in early October.

Is it a good month to go?

travelem, PG doesn't suffer during the SW monsoon (habigat) like some parts of the Philippines. They lose very few days a year to weather, you'll be fine in October. The wind turns in October (from the "habigat" to "amihan"), but it doesn't really matter for diving in PG.
