Honestly, Kingpatzer, I think you are making all this up. It sounds like you've internalized some internet urban legends.

The truth of the matter is the number of DIR purist is really very small both in the ranks of recreational and technical divers. I encounter in all my diving, really very few divers that are 100% DIR minded divers. Some are 'jerks' others are not....but that is found in all groups.
I somewhat agree. I dont think it is possible to be "100% DIR" .............
For me, I aim to do everything right, and hope to hit 90%+ (whatever that means)
This isn't in the DIR forum. Where's the problem? It's just someone's viewpoint based on their own exposure. Most of us know that most DIR trained folks aren't the cause of the problems - but either everyone is making the stories up....or SOME of them are.Doc Intrepid, this is exactly why the DIR forum needs to be opt in.

That's really no reason for everyone to run to their own TRIBE , pull up the drawbridge, and bolt the door!! It's madness.
Kingpatzer is obviously making up his own horror stories. He wants everyone else to be polite and then throws around accusations and makes up childish names, then *****es that other people are arrogant. I'm glad he can do that here in the Basic Scuba forum, I have no problem with that. Germane to another ongoing discussion, if we can keep this Kingpatzer's stuff here, I'm all for it.This isn't in the DIR forum. Where's the problem?
Really? You sure of that?Kingpatzer is obviously making up his own horror stories.
