If it wasn't for current filial responsibility, I'd have opportunity and funds to go in and maybe be hands on. It would be an interesting (exhausting/exasperating/fun) next chapter.

So, $11,700,00 for the hotel and dive operation as it now exists. I never visited Scuba Club Cozumel but there were many loyal patrons. It will be very interesting to see if a new scuba resort rises from this venerable operation.
If it is run as a scuba center / resort, I'd have to guess its going to be a very long payback time period. Long enough to give anyone some pause and reconsideration before investing. My guess is a land developer buys it and repurposes it somehow. I know Xcaret has been looking at it. It's been rumored elsewhere they already purchased it, but I can postively say this is false as of yesterday afternoon. They are not the only interested party, however.
 
I acknowledge my ignorance of such things, but why does each boat require 21-22 permits?
1 permit = 1 diver
