The transcripts might be nice, but I doubt they will be released. Even if they are released, how are we to interpret them?

Regardless of whether DAN screwed up or not, whether they followed their internal protocols properly or not, it is still reasonable to hope that a DAN representative will step forward to objectively state the protocols that they are supposed to implement and which are relevant to the scenario being discussed.

As a member, I think it is far more important to gain an understanding of what their policies are going forward, rather then if their response in this particular situation was sub-optimal or prefect.

I didn't say he wasn't bent, I said I am not even convinced, nor should I be, I am not a MD and don't have all the data needed even if I was. But certainly, it seems that his med team feels he was. Maybe I could have worded it better and said 100% convinced, only 99% but find a couple things a but of a puzzle is all.

LOL, I am good with "thrown them in the chamber" still. In fact like I said in my answer above, not 100%, only 99% sure was bent. Chamber rides are almost without exception a good bet when faced with DCS and many (most?) DCI issues

You are arguing from hindsight. In the moment, the flight might have gone badly for him. With insufficient staff and stuff to deal with it. His plan did not take into account risks, only rewards. Would you plan a dive like that? Then why plan a flight like that?

It's not that simple. DAN must arrange the full works - evacuation (ambulance, airplane etc.), a doctor to accompany you and the correct facility has to be ready for you. They can't just a book a random plane to move you from one hospital to another, in case that your symptoms worsen.

I think that's the issue. Woody and Gus were able to get the exact med evac transport you just described in about an hour with a Google search and a credit card ($8k). DAN told them it would be at least 24 hours before they could arrange it.

Then after they got to the public hospital in Nassau, DAN approved the chamber ride in Nassau. But they told him it would be another 45 minutes to get an ambulance to take him to the private hospital with the chamber. Woody paid a security guard ($10 bucks) to take him since the public hospital had taken away his O2 bottle.......THEN DAN wouldn't' cover admission to the private hospital, which he needed in order to use the chamber. So he paid again ($18k) so he could get in. Once he paid, he was good to go.
