$360 for a Mares Dacor Scuba Regulator Set with 4 Gauge Console

$620 for Mares Regulator Weight Integrated BC Scuba Package Deal

Husband and I don't want to spend upwards of $5000 on a new set of gear of ourselves. Living in Israel limits our options as well. But maybe if we find good deals it would be worth it to buy lower end stuff than to rent. We're already $500 down for mask, snorkle and fins - a good investment.

This deal seems almost too good to be true - is it?

A good deal is one that you get a good up front price and then find reasonable prices for annual service on the equipment you buy. For me, I would not buy this equipment as I would have to ship it off when it needed serviced. I would try and stay with brands that can be serviced in your local area.
