I plan my vacations around areas where I can dive.

Even worse than planning vacations around dive destinations. I am planning the "professional development conferences" I need to attend this year based on their proximity to good diving. The one I SHOULD go to is in Missouri..... still holding off on finding one closer to better diving.

Oh and, I used to say that my friends were divided into those who dive and those who don't. Now I've pretty muched ifnored those people for long enough, I guess I now have dive buddies, family and co-workers.

When you purchase a car and the deciding factor has something to do with having enough room for dive gear.

My last vehicle (Chevy Avalanche) was bought strictly for it's ability to haul people and gear to dive site (Florida) comfortably. Every thing else was an afterthought.

Heheh... I drive an avalanche too, and it was purely a diving vehicle decision. I had a blazer before that, and needed a wet friendly cargo space.

The Avalanche is truely the best SCUBA vehicle. I jokingly refer to mine as a SCUBA Utility Vehicle.

Oh... and I got Onstar because my cell doens't work at most of the local quarries.

when they threaten to repo your car, house and everything you own, and all you care to protect with your gun is your scubagear!!! you can kill me but dont touch my scubagear!!

What's sad is this is exactly what I am doing right now. Shopping for a truck/SUV *JUST* to fit my diving needs.

I'll tell you what's sad. I'm putting my property up on the market, hopefully soon, to fund more dive trips, gear, etc. Looks like I have my priorities in order.

Not sad. Admirable.

you know your teenagers dive too much when you are preparing for a class, find your student rental gear wet, and when you question said teens they report that they used the gear to check out the location of bass in someone's farm pond.

Yes, they were all certified and with buddies.
