Helium is a good idea. You could use the dive shop to hire and fund a Manhattan Project sized effort to finally bring the world a working fusion powerplant. Such abundance of clean energy would revolutionize society and (using carbon recapture) actually reverse climate change. More importantly helium is a byproduct of fusion and you could capture it for diving use.

My endgame for stockpiling helium would be to offer it for free to tech divers.
If I got unlimited money then there is no reason not to.
Granted, the helium companies would get cheeky and start charging absurd amounts, so naturally I would have to purchase an entire navy as well just to keep them in check.

Funny how things go off the rails once the term unlimited money gets thrown around

I’m pretty close to my ideal dive setup already. The Perdix was a chunk of change but I’m happy with it. Freedom Plate and VDH wing was a great idea. Drysuit is low-end but it fits and does everything I need it to. Actively looking for second hand steel ‘Huns but my Al80s work fine. Colour matching hoses would be cool but pure vanity. A rebreather is beyond my means and would be neat to try, not sure I would use it much even with unlimited funds though, those have costs beyond the price…

Dive travel via my LDS: could always blow a budget on that!

Be as specific or vague as you wish, what’s your dream setup? List as many or as few things as you would wish, and feel free to include prices if you want!
Oh, you mean just like the late Paul Allen did.

A local Seattle area dive shop once fitted his entire mega-yatch's dive staff with CCR gear.

Not even try to make the world a better place and bring world peace, at least end world hunger?
That’s a political issue. The U.S. destroys enough wheat to feed Africa every year, in order to maintain a ‘subsidised’ price to protect U.S. farmers incomes.
I’m not passing judgment simply highlighting that money want solve the problem. Introducing aged care so African families don’t need ten children would be a start - oh and diverting money from corrupt dictators…..😉🙏

More or less just replaced my entire kit and am more than happy with it . So Id buy training, training and more training and adapt the kit to whats needed as the training progressed.

a boat, captain, medical staff, masseuse, mechanic, at least 3 instructors with different skill sets, marine biologist plus an island farm for healthy food, hunter for my meats and I would try all the small brands for gear like force fins and freedom BP.

Edit - just realized it was all supposed to be purchased at a dive shop. 50 points off for not reading instructions.

Halcyon BP & Wing, 2 - Apeks XTX 50, Garmin MK2i & transmitter, Apex RK3 fins, Tusa Paragon S mask, plus purchase trips to all good boat charters available, get all the c-cards including that Uboat one, plus pay for a few experienced divers with those dive sites to come with me to make the most of my time underwater.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here.

How are y'all going to pay for these expensive purchases?

So much like our governments' borrowing money to please the masses -- we're so popular -- but leaving the debt for subsequent governments.

Memories of getting my first credit card at age 18. By age 19 realised how hard it was to pay off. By age 21 was far more cautious with credit cards!

Much prefer cash. When it's gone, it's gone.
