Maybe so, but I'm headed to another state next week to do some dives with a bunch of divers I've never met before in person, and they are supplying me with doubles and deco bottles, and I won't even ask them what kind of valves the tanks will have. Don't need to. I know without a doubt without asking.

The very same thing happened to me just a couple of weeks ago. Met up with some divers I had never met before, but brought my DIN regs without even thinking about it, and got exactly what I expected. No asking.

My '68 Mustang still goes 150 miles an hour, like my '06 Lexus - any skilled tech diver can use yoked regs. And, I question the skill level of EVERY diver I meet, no matter what equipment he shows up with...

Oh, I have used them. I just don't think it's a good idea so I don't use them anymore.

How should we approach this question? ...Kid; "But johny does it Mom!"... Mom answers; "Would you jump off a cliff just because Johny does?"

Dirty Harry..."Do ya feel lucky punk?...Well, do ya?"

Mike as usual you seem to have all the answers. :shakehead:

Well, give me a break. We're discussing which valve connections we prefer and why and present what John Chatterton used on one dive as support?:shakehead:

Then point made. :)

Of course, I mostly use DIN regs . It's just that several divers my age (50-ish), of whom I dive/work with, use yoke and not DIN - we never have seem to have first stage problems (albeit, our equipment is always new and in perfect condition).
