Hi Frogfish
Yes, it seems that Singapore air goes direct to UPG and Silk Air goes from Singapore to UGP via Sepingan (BPN). I use frequent flyer miles on SIA but the UPG flight uses 30k miles for the r/t. For Bali, SIA uses 100k miles for a simple SIN-DPS r/t.
I finally came to realize that taking a cheap Air Asia flight with a Lion or Transnusa connection is perhaps the best route and just overnight in Maumere. Does anyone know of a decent hotel in Maumere for an overnight for my wife and I? charlie
