I have a DST with a bit of corrosion at the orifice. The IP will creep unless the HP seat is brand new. A replaceable one(FSR only) will solve the problem.

Can't the corrosion be fixed?

Can you buy the that part of the regulator body from Apeks and replace it? Should be that expansive!

Service kit is not that difficult to obtain in reasonal price but spare part is something else.
Scuba Spares in Malta used to supply any Apeks spare parts but they only do that to registered technicians or dealers nowadays!
I used that DST as deco reg and remember to turn it off when not required.

maybe try magic mesh to polish the orifice

I believe Apeks has a special tool for it but can't confirm it. In the mean time I just use the eraser of a new pencil and it seems to work to a certain extend
Aqualung has ruined Apeks.
