You do not need to use an adapter. You can purchase hoses that already have the standard BC/drysuit connection QR, each in a length to suit your purpose.

The purpose of the adapter is to allow those divers who have a collection of hoses of various lengths or who wind up with various lengths of standard LP hoses to use them for their BC/drysuit and regulators as needed. And there are many divers who have collected a pile of hoses. Seems like you may be starting on a nice pile of hoses yourself ;).

Maybe it is a language and culture issue but I do not follow your problem? It initially seemed, I thought, you did not know how long the LP hoses should be for your BC to prevent excess looping? I suggested assembling your kit and measuring the needed length and put your gear on and measure for your drysuit inflator. I do not know any other way to do it.

For Hogartian kit as used in GUE and DIR and many enthusiast divers regardless, the primary is a 40/60/70 inches hose and the secondary is a 20/22/24 inches hose. For conventional kit the primary is typically on a 26 to 28 inches hose and the octopus secondary is on a 36/40 inches hose. The LP BC inflator nad the LP drysuit inflatopr are purchased to fit you and your kit bny measruing them. Unlike the aforementioned regulator hoses there really are no standard lengths for BC/drysuit and are often supplied with those items in a length that would only work well for the Jolly Green Giant..

Of course easiest way to know how long is to measure while having all gear on the back . Actually the other day while gearing up before diving i've seen how too long it was bug couldn't measure it and now i'm no longer in diving place , i dont have any tank to put my gear on and take measure that's why i asked cause i wanted to order new hose before next dives :)
Will probably test that way also for the secondary around neck

Do you also think , using an elbow on second stage of long hose could help to have less "circle fit" above right shoulder ?

It would, but one reason it's not done that way is that the elbow makes donation more difficult. (Everyone is trying to hold the second stage, rather than your hand being out of the way down the hose a bit.)

Thanks! Actually i was wrong , i asked you that because i had that idea seeing a pro diver having it but it was in fact on his secondary around the neck , not the long hose

I asked to chatgpt and according to that, your bcd has 3 corrugated hose sizes; 13, 16 and 19 inch and stock length is 16, that is roughly 40cm. You said your inflator hose is 60 cm, so, there is 20cm extra length to reach to your tank/first stage and that does not sound too long to my ear. Could it be your corrugated hose is the short version, i.e. 13 inch?

Hi back! So i went to a shop to borrow a tank and put my gear on
SO:
- Pic 1 is to show you the excess of length i have on the inflator
- Pic 2 if i take a shorter one (still inflator one) i'd like to come that way on my shoulder and not half circle way as i have now . Any thoughts ? Cause i don't want the hose to be twisted too much neither
- Pic 3 about short hose and same as previous about that half circle that i dont want and more straight to my eezy cut would be perfect (and adding a 90/110º elbow on second stage of course)
- Pic 4 , same as 2 , how i'd like it to be

Both hose are 60/61cm . Forgot to take rule so i don't really know how less i need for inflator (around 10cm i guess) . Maybe more difficult to know for the short hose as its rounded anyway to go around the neck

Thanks for you advices guys
