Thanks to my wonderful dive buddies, Christian, Frank-O, Chuck, and Roy for 3 beautiful Catalina dives...I had forgotten what 60 foot viz looked like until Christian, Frank and I managed to be the first divers in the water (about 120 gearing up behind us) and dropped into the big blue room around the Sujac...Wow!! We tried to splash quietly so Roy's head could have a little more recovery time...especially since we had scheduled a first SI breakfast on the pier...with a JackHammer!! Thanks for all the stories from Friday night's adventures....divers DO have more...interesting...fun.
Great photos, Roy...really love the octopus on the swim platform...glad you could find some clear water in spite of the 'my-silt-cloud-is-bigger-than-yours" experiments going on elsewhere at the platform.
When the dust settled, it was Hi-Ho-Silver and Away on the mystery compass heading of 240...boldly going where hardly anyone else in the park goes. It was odd, but fun! The unpredictable joys of UW communication... We did find those BIG bass over there and mobs of garibaldi.
Thanks, Chuck, for the fun third dive, checking out the Kismet, lobsters, senoritas cleaning the kelpfish, big bass, and getting to see the sun finally come out! The sun rays through the kelp was the perfect end for a fun day of diving.
TeqP and Captain Marvel: It was great to meet you both. Long drives, 0615 boat, cloudy skies, cool wind...and you hard diving animals got 4 dives in! Master's level, at least!!
Can't wait to see how much fun we can have on the April Wrinkles dive. Wait until y'all see the spiffy new SB banner...Thanks, Ted and NetDoc!!
Thanks, all!
