Ann Marie... will your hub want a golf buddy? Golf is what mine would much rather be doing, although he dives too.

Sounds great! I'll send you a pm with contact info.

I think I will be able to stay the day and evening.... and might even consider staying over, but I haven't asked my guy if he wants to join us yet. His answer will determine my options. Let's talk again next week when it's closer!

Since we've been married for almost 25 years, my husband may have a problem with that... But hey... it's fun to consider! ;-)

Hey folks,

The good news is there will be new & improved bathroom and shower facilities
south of the Lifeguard tower at La Jolla Shores' Kellogg Park. The
less-than-good news is they won't be available until the end of May and the
existing facilities are slated to be scraped next week. This means between
next week and the end of May there will be no showers, bathrooms or fresh
water in the immediate vicinity to rinse your gear until then. Facilities
north of the tower will still be available. Plan accordingly, especially
those wearing drysuits.

Also, if this lack of services south of the tower concerns any of you, we
need to come up with and finance an idea ourselves in the interim. The city
will supply water there, but not a way to dispense it, until the end of May.
If the lack of water services there until the end of May is a non-issue for
you, great.

Thanks, looking forward to hearing from you with any thoughts and looking
forward to watching the drysuit divers run to the north bathrooms after a
long dive.

Best,

John Metzger

Looks like my friend and his kids are going to be joining me. 80% sure. I had mentioned camping, but he thinks it might be too cold for the kids and for him too. So,
he is looking into getting a room. I personally would like to camp, but we will see.

Also, does anyone know if there is an area for Volleyball??? I have a professional net that I can bring down to set up if anyone is interested in playing. Let me know.

That's what pee-valves are for! :)

The last time we were there, we had our stuff spread out on the grassy area. Do you have poles that we could use to set up in that same area?

I can bring chips.

I don't have any poles, but if there are two willing trees or Scuba Dudes we can use, that would work!

Hmmm...Being the Recreational Therapist that I am, we could even play Waterballoon Volleyball. That is a BLAST!!! Kids could get involved too.
