just remember, say "black overalls" if you're ever in the DIR forum

just trying to save you grief...

I am sure I am banned from DIR forum. I have not talked nicely of this crotch strap at all today.

TSandM:
The ad is tasteless, and says a great deal about the person who put it up on the website.

Unfortunately, however, they still make REALLY good lights. I'd buy from them again, but I'd also tell them how annoyed I am at the stupid web page. In fact, I may do that anyway.

Props, you think its stupid and you'll ***** to them, but you'd still buy their stuff because, all us Salvo customers know its top knotch, your a woman and a customer, when you purchased from them did you feel they were sexist and did they treat you like a second class citizen? I'm bettin the didn't.

Now this I can agree with, I see how some people would see the ad as tasteless (I really don't care either way), by all means tell them it is, but for people (people plural, not targeting the OP with that) to get all flustered up over it and start talking about values... well when it comes to values a naked woman in a backplate is a drop of water in the ocean, I'm more offended by people driving H2's vs a naked dude in a harness.

*****?

yeah... it'll block it

I dunno why it did it wasn't bad, or I typoed and it was close enough to bad it nailed it

Wow! Some nerve was hit to require 177 posts...

Salvo has had a website for awile now with nothing previously on it similar to that of the two photos seen. A prank. Delt with. Move on.

I don't know if the folks at Salvo even knew I was female when I bought my light on line. But they knew I was female when I called in a panic because a latch broke three days before I was due to leave for Indonesia. And they overnighted a new latch to me, at their expense, even though I offered to pay the shipping, since it wasn't THEIR fault I was leaving on a trip in three days.

I have nothing bad to say about Salvo products or Salvo service. Somebody did something dumb with the website, is all. And when you consider that 80% of divers are men, and tech divers tend toward the testosterone-rich end of the spectrum, it's not at all hard to understand how it happened.

I started to say something :)shocked: & ) but I think it is pretty obvious already, to all but two people anyway.
