ScubaTexan:
I honestly thought they had a chance to beat the Czechs, but I sadly underestimated the Czech Republic (as the U.S. team did as well, obviously).
The Czechs are a quality team, and have been doing well for the last ten years - after their final appearance at Euro '96. I can't see them or the Italians slipping up in this group.

T-minus 29 minutes for Brazil - Croatia!!!

I'm predicting 4-0 - Brasil naturally. ;-)

D.

***UPDATE***

GOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!! Brasil in the 44th minute by Kaka.

France were less than impressive against Switzerland. The match ended scoreless, but both teams had good opportunities at goals. I've come to the conclusion that the reason Thierry Henry has never had the success on the international scene that he has at club level is that he doesn't get near the service for France that he does for Arsenal. Overinflated egos, perhaps??

Hehe, so 3 goals in the second half daylonious??
Cafu still has lots of energy, he's playing better than I thought he would :).

I don't think so Texan in respect to Thierry having a big ego.

If you watch him play at Arsenal he is very selfless and thoughtful of the whole team when he attacks the goal, i've seen him on numerous occasions pass the ball to someone who is in a slightly better goal scoring position

MAN Ronaldo looked bad. And Fat. And Slow.

I'd be really suprised if he starts next game.. Robinho all the way.

Croatia played a very good game, attacking quite a bit in the second half. I'm impressed.

a 1 : 0 loss to Brasil is a win in any other match up. ;-) (can you tell I'm a little biased?)

Yah D, I'm a huge Brazil fan myself and agree with your criticism.
Ronaldo does look fat and slow, not playing a competitve match since April doesn't help at all.
I'd bench him for the next game and start Robinho or someone else.

Kaka had the best game for Brazil I think, Emerson and Ze Roberto were good, Ronaldinho was subpar, everytime he got the ball Croats surrounded him.

I know they'll be much better in the next game and Croatia looks as good as they did back in 1998 when they finished third.

Brazil suck, France suck. They both came out looking worse than they should have, neither team will get very far playing at that level.

Lol, famous last words..
Brazil will win the world cup trini.

As for France, they're full of arthritic players who should be watching from the stands and not playing.

Have you looked at Zidane? He looks like he should be in a retirement home.
