I just bought a DAN membership and DAN Insurance :monkeydan

Just thought I would rejoice a little, maybe just maybe i'll buy a DAN tag as well.

I'll probably never have to, but really.. you can't go wrong with 35$ a year.

I'm also contemplating getting my cave cert, and I am not going into a cave underwater without more insurance :)

Yeah I am working towards my cavern now. Should be getting through that class before February. Got to play with doubles a month back so now I am looking at that next investment. I am looking at cave probably in about another year or more. I need more dives under my belt. But who knows, I am ambitious and once I get a peek around the corner, I want to go a little further!

Good luck to you! Maybe we will meet up in cave country one day....!

I've been looking at doubles, but it doesn't look like double al 80's are possible with my scuba pro knighthawk bc :( Guess that means i'll just have to spend more money!

I'm pretty sure the $35 only gets you a membership to DAN. The insurance part is another $70/year.

yep, When I got mine, basic membership was $29 per year, then you have the option of 3 different insurance plans that all give you extra coverage at an extra cost.

Da, I signed up yesterday myself. Was $25 for membership (or so) plus another $45 or so for the mid-grade insurance.

I tested a BP/W at a demo in cave country and never gave them back! Definitely worth the money and I wish I would have had the pleasure of trying that on before I started my OW class. Once you are set up its nothing to put your BP on singles or doubles.

Happy diving!

PS. for how little extra it is..go for the top plan in DAN.
