A Great day to Dive!

Surface water temp at end of dive was 47.

42 in the hole at 60'.

I'll post details tomorrow!

We dove at Whitestar on Sunday and it was fantastic. We were in 7mm wetsuits, hoods and gloves. My wife added a 5mm hooded step in vest.

2 dives about 30 minutes each. #1 to 60 feet, #2 to 47 feet.

the goal was to test our new safety sausages and finger reels (ordered from http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?t=131409) and work on some navigation.

just about everything went great.

the weather helped out a ton. the temp in the sun was in the low 70's by noon. so our dives were very comfortable.

The navigation went well.

We need to continue to work on Air Management. We were able to hold our safety stops, but surfaced with around 400 psi after each dive. I was surprised how much air was used on a 3 min safety stop at 15 feet.

I am looking forward to returning to the quarry again next weekend to help resolve this big issue.
