I'm a Fish!
Come join the Diving Rebels, the Scubadillo’s, and the Reef Riders in the annual Wine and Cheese Party and Artic Dive. This outing will be held at Marietta Landing on Lake Murray in Oklahoma. Come join us as we camp out Friday and Saturday nights. If camping is not your style, cabins and lodge rooms may be available at Lake Murray State Park.

Dry Suit diving will be available, at no cost, provided by manufactures representatives. Here is your chance to try diving in a dry suit and see for yourself how nice it is to stay warm and dry in frigid waters.

On Saturday evening, there will be an “All You Can Eat” dinner beginning at 4pm. Tickets are $10 in advance and $13 after February 20th.

The Wine and Cheese Tasting Contest will be held Saturday evening with scoring provided by some very disreputable judges! Categories will include Best Red and White Wines, Best Cheese, and Worst Wine. Sorry, no Worst Cheese contest, the judges do have their limits! Great Prizes for the winners!

OK ... I'm ready !!! Diving, Wine, Cheese now just how can you go wrong !

If someone could send me more information on pricing and gear rental i would be interested just need to find someone to work for me.

It looks like i will be able to make it. Are there any other single women who would like to share a room at the lodge?

I was up at Lake Murray at Marietta Landing a couple of weeks ago and did a solo dive. The air temp. was 42F, windy and the water was 45F. :11:
I used a 7mm long john. The vis. was at least 10 feet and sometimes a bit more. Getting out of the water was cold but with some other folks around it would be excellent. I think a having a "Fire" going would be the ticket for sure!!

I made a day trip from Paris, did the dive and went home 270 mile round trip.
It's closer to the Metroplex. A person could make a day trip out of it really easy.
I'd love to dive at the "Tower " just up the road a couple of minutes from Marietta Landing. 'Anybody up for that ??
I'll be heading up there on Saturday morning for this Wine & Cheese event.
I'll hope for excellent weather but I know the water can't get any colder so things should be good!!

:crafty:

This sounds like a lot of fun but 8 hrs total drive time is more than a day trip for me to do alone. I look forward to meeting some of you there.

will try to see what i can get worked out to make the event not sure if i would want to do the camping thing tho dont really have the equipment for that.

(getting back into scuba)
New to the group, but look forward to meeting some of you on a warmer trip.

45F, you people are insane.... glad it see I'm joining the right group. :)

ah come on. Cold is a state of mind thing. Try standing in a freezer at -30 for 5 mins looking for one unit of plasma then see whats cold. :D

Amen Nerissa! Ok, it's now -3 outside and snowing with a wind chill factor of -10, so 45 degrees is warm! Can't wait to get back to Texas on Saturday!
