Port closed about 9:30 the majority of the boats that were out elected to get a second dive in. This morning there was a moderate west wind, nothing to write home about. Few white caps but there was a noticable swell. Not very bad unless you were on a barge. This afternoon it is swinging north and producing light white caps. Nothing bad or dangerous but it is expected to build later this afternoon. Doubt it will reopen in the morning but as long as there is a glimmer of hope I will have my dive bag packed and at the shop in the morning.

Sorry to hear this...we just extended our stay by 10 more days, so I'm confident weather wont wash us out as we now are more flexible with our dives dates with Aldora!
A wise decision. I did the same thing in November.

at 3:20 it is trying to blow the hair off my head (no toupee). Lets hope for tomorrow.

Port closed today. Some die-hards are hoping it will open but we canceled with no penalty. I haven’t seen any boats. Good news is it’s windy with very little chance of rain, so our gear will dry quick(er).

The port was closed last Tuesday, but we did 3 good shore dives instead. The sea was flat, the federales (the ferries) kept running, and the winds calmed down by 10 am, so with no boats around the shore diving was pretty good.

Yep port is still closed waiting for an update around 11:30. Not really expecting it to reopen today. It's rough out and while it might not have caused a closure it's probably still to rough to allow for reopening. Most captain's at the marina and the fishman nextdoor think it will probably reopen tomorrow.
Figure it is a good day to head to the east side. See how Rastas is doing after last months storm and Pantera is going to realise the season final cleanup of baby turtles this evening

No shore diving here - too rough!
