Will Sherwood Source Genesis display depth constantly

I am looking to upgrade my hokey puck analog depth gauge to a computer one. I want something simple and I saw the Sherwood The Source Genesis Resource Aqua Lung Scuba Dive Computer Puck Module. I read the instructions and it looked like it showed the max depth all the time but not a constant readout of the current depth. Is this made to be used with a depth gauge as well so i can replace my analog one? Does anyone have one of these to confirm it does not show the current depth all the time?

I'd recommend buying something made less than 20+ years ago, but aside from that, it says right on page 12 that the no deco dive mode displays depth and the "alternate dive" mode displays max depth

Any other suggestions for a puck computer that i can pick up used for under $100?
