I don't care if I was on the boat and he told you he was Jesus. It's a simple fact you for some reason don't get: DIR divers don't dive solo. That simple. I know, it can be tough learning all of this stuff on the internet. Hopefully that solo aspect is clear now. Having gear and self-labeling do not a DIR diver make.
I think you are being a bit rude to the guy who made this original comment honestly.
Yes, the guy is not "DIR" if he dives solo, but the other "uspap" just reported what was said "I am DIR but I am going to dive solo" -- why should that make "uspap" the one that doesn't "get it"
I am sure Jeff's comment wasn't that "uspap" should know better, but simply that the solo-diver claiming to be DIR was spouting baloney.
