who is diving and where

Having had the "misfortune" of living on Catalina for most of the past 34 years, it is where I do 70-75% of my diving.

The rest is done around the other Channel Islands and on foreign dive/backpacking trips to the (SUB)TROPICS in winter (Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, Fiji, Tahiti/Moorea, Sea of Cortez).

I may be wrong, but I believe it's one of the most polluted areas. I can't find a site that shows the datas.

Lovely to hear about Leo Carillo. I used to hang out there with my friends years ago. No big deal since the weather is getting crappy again. I guess I won't be diving this weekend.

I just finished reading the Heal the Beach report. Interesting data. According to the report Leo Carillo on a dry day, no rain/no runoff, the water quality is A+. However, after rainfall, its listed at an F. So, this week, I would say there is an extremely high coliform bacteria count at that beach. Not anything anyone would want to submit themselves to.
