I carry one !!!

I like to use it as a boomarang (oo...bad spelling) I throw it too the sea lions and see if they bring it back............ they usally dont!!

Okay no I do not use one ...... ahhh unless I am teaching then I take it off underwater and put it in my pocket.

Really folks I know it is personal preferance .... but I truley hate the thing's:D

Depends on where I am:
Teaching - its required for me to have it.
NC coast - never
Cave - never
Caribbean - yes, so I can have fun on surface after dive

I always do with students because it's required.

Personally, it depends on the location. I'm an avid skin diver and can spend a whole weekend in a nice spot and never put on a kit. So, in water I'd skin dive, in addition to scuba, I'll have it so if I get the urge to noodle around during a surface interval I just jump in. I also have a completely separate skin diving kit that's lightweight and easily carried.

For the typical lake dive...no snorkel...get's in the way and pulls my hair....and I'm loathe to lose any more hair...

I wear mine about 98% of the time. I've been wearing one so long I feel naked without it :D
Ber :lilbunny:

I keep a rolled up snorkel in my BC and carry a tube along in my bag in case I know that we're doing a surface swim. other than that I haven't had it attached to my mask for a regular dive in a LONG time!

I've always had one on dives. I keep it attached to my mask, not sure how it could get entangled in octo or reg hoses, since its on the opposite side. I like to use it on the surface to conserve air, since I'm a bit of an air hog.
