I know a Filipino instructor working at one of the dive ops there (my classmate at the IE) last time we talked he said they can give me a per dive rate of P700 per dive.

is that a good rate? how much are dive rates in gallera?

What are we looking at for a potential schedule, leaving Manila early morning and getting to the resort sort of noonish? Then the next day leaving PG noonish? Stupid question, is there secure parking at/near the Batangas pier or should the "drive to Batangas yourself" option be discarded?

it only takes an 45 mins by banca to get to PG. and yes it is safe to park in batangas.

I think the average now is $20 to $25. I'll have to check again though and confirm as the VAT and all may have affected rates.

There is secure parking at Batangas Pier but its quite expensive at P500 per night. I park at an abandoned hotel about 500 meters from the pier and pay only P150 to the old guy who lives there.

First boat out of Batangas Pier is at around 9 am and heads to Puerto Pier, from there you catch a small boat to lalaguna beach for P120. The boat that leaves directly for Sabang is around 11am, from their you can hire a small boat to lalaguna area or do the 10 minute walk to big lalaguna. The last boat that will leave on Sunday is at 3 pm from Puerto Pier and 1 pm from the Sabang Pier.

actually I myself still find it hard to pay more than what people pay for in Anilao for dives, especially when diving in areas that you know that you yourself will be able to find even if you just jump off from the boat.

el galleon has their own bangka, one of those huge boats that accomodates 20 ish people. we can go straight to small la laguna.

yup its a nice secure compound. straight to the boat, no distractions and checks. i vaguely remember how to get there, we passed SM thats all i remember. im sure some ppd knows how to get there?
