White Star Quarry diving Feb 2 -3

There will be diving at White Star Quarry this weekend, February 2-3. Now the question... will it be ice diving or open water diving. We had ice on most of the quarry on Saturday but with warm weather and then a REALLY windy day, the quarry is mostly open water.

I will post the conditions on Friday morning here and on the website. If you are an ice diver, you will be able to dive whatever the conditions. If it is iced over we will have gear. We need to check cards if it is iced over but it will be business as usual if it is open water.

We will have heated changing rooms and free food and warm drinks. We will be open for diving from 10 - 3. If you want to know more call before you come 419 637 3483

I went to the quarry this morning and it was completely frozen over. It is still too thin to walk on but there are people who will be doing ice dives from the shore entrances and the ladder entrances. We will be down there to dive.

I put some pictures from the quarry this morning on the website so you can see for yourself. The quarry will be open for ice diving this weekend but you MUST have an Ice Certification card or be participating in a course. Please make sure you have the card or we can't let you dive. We will need to check cards at the scuba concession and we will have you sign in there for the weekend.

We will have warm rooms, coffee, hot cocoa, free hotdogs and soup. We will be there from 10 -3 for diving.
