I am going diving White Point and Christmas Tree Cove this weekend and wanted to know if anyone could give me some tips about these sites? Parking, Access, Entry, Exits, Reefs, Points of interest, anything else worth mentioning? Thanks for the help!

Jeremy...

Lots of White Point info here:

I've been to the area above Christmas Tree, but lack the masochistic desire to hike down and back up with gear.

John and I have been considering White Point as an alternative to Marineland. What day do you plan to go? We may be interested in joining you on Sunday.

Parking is on the street at Christmas Tree Cove. The hike down was not too bad the last time I was there but back up is a pain. I have not been there for a year so check out the trail first. Not too much in the cove so swim to the outside. Underwater it looks a lot like Point Vincente.

White's Point is a State Park so they charge an entry fee ($8 I think).
Turn left at the bottom of the ramp and go as far as you can and then park. The entry is past where you can park by a hundred yards or so. Some people go by the first two little coves over the rise and enter. Of course at White's you want to find the geothermal vents and the white fungus that grows around the vents. White's can be quite nice, on a flat day, otherwise Marineland or Christmas tree are better.
