YMCA. Back in 1974, that's what was available to us. Taught a tough course, made me a better diver for it (IMHO).

Well....I took a PADI resort course first. Actually, I did everything in that class with the exception of one additional dive. Certified with SSI, since the PADI shops up here didn't know how to process the remainder of the requirements.
Everything else is NAUI.

I started with PADI for OW, then AOW. Then IANTD for EAN.

Yes PADI had nice pictures with pleasant climate, but they don't show polar climate!Charlie59:
NAUI and YMCA - PADI wasn't around yet.
