After shooting my Oly 5060 , In a PT20 housing, I just bought a strobe, mounting tray, etc, and want to know what options do I have as far as lens ?

Iv'e heard of Dome Ports, , what do they do?

I'm also thinkign of buying the WCON-0.7C Lens , and Uw housing for it ( wide lens )

Looks like the WCON-0.7C Lens housing and the wide lens go for $199 a pc, or around there

So before I spend $400 to upgrade my lens, Which and what are the more popular lens for this housing?

Also do I need a extra bolt on housing for a Macro lens for this camera also?

There are a few options for you to choose as far as add-on lenses go. It depends on what you are looking to do with the camera. Do you want to shoot close-up or are you looking for nice wide shots of a wreck in clear water?
I have the C-5060, PT-0200 with InonD2000 and ULCS arms and have an Inon UWL-100 wide angle for shots of wrecks, kelp or scenic u/w shots. I also have a Inon UCL-165 macro lens for getting close-up shots of nudibranchs when the viz is low. I took both add-on lenses with me to Roatan earlier this year and used them both frequently. I also have one of these to store the lenses when I'm not using either or both on a dive.

Both have 67mm threads so they just screw onto the PT-020 lens port.
For California diving, I primarily use the macro lens. Both of these are wet lenses, so you don't need an additional housing for them. Good luck with your decision.

As for buying the Inon macro lens, I bought it here and no external housing is needed for the lens. It is a wet lens. You can take it off underwater or put it on.

The WCON-07C is a great lens , I've used it topside many times . I also bought the Athena Dome , but unfortunately the water around here hasn't been clean enough to really use it yet . The few pics I have managed seem to be OK - nice and sharp. Haven't tried any macro yet with it though .

Ditto TeqP's comments on the Inon wet lenses , I especially enjoy using the macro's .Double stacked they are great for those small nudis and shrimps .

Nice pictures!!

The link for the macro lens brought me to there main page, and I couldn't find it.

I'm going now to do a search , I like shooting macro myself as well.

Do all of you shoot in manual mode, or Auto ?

I been shooting in Auto, is there any manual setting s you would suggest as a good starting point?

ISO 80 , f/8.0 @ 1/125 is a good starting point .I use centre weight metering , spot focus .

I have a spreadsheet of settings I use for my 7070 , they will also apply to the 5060 except if the feature isn't on the camera of course.

PM me your e-mail and I will gladly send it to you . There are also settings for close up and wide angle natural light .

Thank you !!

my email is mdelano@cfl.rr.com

I appreicate it !!

I just set everything as you said, and set my camear setting to " my mode 1 " to save those setting's, I'll try it out this weekend, as I'm heading down to the keys tomorrow for 4 days with my boat, Thanks!
