Thanks BoltSnap. I used to get up tight about the copyright thing. Now everyone is an "underwater photographer" and then there is the issue of AI images. The horse has bolted. I'm under no illusion, if I was to restart this expensive hobby, it would only be for my own amusement. I'm not going to get a phone call from National Geographic and be whisked off to exotic locations to take photos of fish.
For me, it isn't about money or awards or National Geographic, it is about respect, acknowledgement and being honest. As a Muslim; in Islamic jurisprudence, Intellectual property and copyrights are sacred and eternal just like any other personal property. They shouldn't and mustn't be taken away from you without your permission and approval.
I've never associated underwater photography and Islamic jurisprudence!
Weefine lists 12-50mm, 12-40mm, 12-45mm, 14-42mm, 12-32mm and 12-35mm micro four thirds zooms as compatible. This appears to work only with the 30mm lens, not the 12-50mm as the Nauticam works with both, is this correct?
I spent a bit of time looking at stuff online yesterday. This is a very expensive business, maybe it always was, but I was in denial! If I do go down this path, think I'll stick with macro to avoid demoralisation and disappointment.
What's the story with 90mm lenses vs 60mm for M4/3?
I am a little bit tempted by a TG-7 to keep cost realistic, but haven't been super impressed by the images I've seen. Maybe an operator issue rather than the camera?
Go with the M4/3, you are an excellent photographer and will regret the TG route.
