Thanks for all the advice. I now have everything setup with Jeannie at 3P's. When I am back I'll post a mini review since I've never dove with them before.

To confirm what others said. We will walk and meet them at their shop at 7:40am and pick up the other diver a few minutes later on the way to the Caleta. Breakfast at the Mexicana will be tight but doable. She already confirmed a few afternoon dive days have enough other divers so should be good to go there. Staying at different hotels doesn't seem to be much of an issue at all.

Man I love Cozumel :)

You are gonna have an absolute stress-free blast of a time in my opinion. I look forward to reading your review of 3P's upon your return. I have a feeling you'll have nothing but great things to say but should they not live up to your expectations - we all want to hear about that as well.

I have done the 3-P’s and Casa Mexicana several times and breakfast was always ready on time and made for a quick but great breakfast before the short walk to the shop. I am bummed that I will not make Cozumel this year for the first time in 5 years. Enjoy and looking forward to your report.

@ Sinistar... If you travel with your own gear and depending on what time you arrive in Coz and then get checked into the Casa, take a walk around the block to 3P's shop to see if the shop is open (It isn't always open as sometimes the staff is out running errands and such after the afternoon divers are on their way). If it is open, head back to the Casa, grab all of your gear, and drop it all off with 3P's that afternoon. Then you can forget about it and it will all be on the boat and set up when you arrive at the marina for your first day of diving. Easy Peasy.

Have to ask... Was Jeanie able to hook you up with your favorite room at the Casa since you've stayed there before?

Thanks for all the replies.

Time to make some calls. I'll probably try Tres Pelicanos first as I think I know a DM that works for them now. Do you know if Tres Pelicano's does a surface interval on the beach? And if they ever run any afternoon dives...heck maybe an afternoon up North by request? I haven't dove up north in about 10 years.

Re: Same hotels. Everyone has their preferred hotels. I'm hooked on the Casa Mexicana (breakfast, beds, location). The couple (with the one diver) really likes the Hotel Cozumel (hot tub, pool, waterfront). Rather than force them to stay with the others, I figured some of the cool dive shops would be able to help us out. They will probably join us for dinner several nights...but not every night and they don't mind the walk or might walk there and cab back. All pretty laid back if you ask us.

We do afternoon trips daily and regular trips to the north. Yesterday at El Cantil were 6 eagle rays in a school. Woot! Give us a shoot if you want to give it a try. Contacts for Salty Endeavors listed below in my signature. Enjoy the diving!
