Man on man....Chi's going to go nuts if the Cubs get into the WS. :)

Yes they will..Grateful Diver.

I just bought my tickets to fly into Chicago. I will be there during the WS although I know I won't have tickets to go.
Just watching it in a Chicago bar will be a treat.
And I plan on buying a few T shirts.
If any of you want a T shirt, I will be kind enough to send it to you.
You must send me the $ for the T shirt and the shipping ..but I'll do the shopping part.

I'm not just going in for the WS. I have tickets to see Simon and Garfunkel at the United Center Oct. 24th..and my son goes to school @ Marquette University, so I will see him too.

Holy Cow? Isn't that Harry Carey, ScubaTexan.

Not ONE more win, FIVE more and it's all over!

...that's the Scubaboard's Smilie for Harry Caray (see Smilies). And, as all true Cub fans know, it's one more to GET to the World Series. NEVER look at them more than one at a time! Right Natasha? ;)

I grew up in Wrigleyville when it wasn't so pretty. It was pretty rough neiborhood. I went LeMoyne grade school which is just down the block from Wrigley. When the Wrigleys owned the club & park, old man Wrigley used to let us kids in at around the bottom of the 7th inning. Also at the end of the 3rd quarter when the Bears played there. If you claimed the first seat in a row and put all the seats up on your row, you would get a free pass to the next game. Needless to say I used to be there a lot. See ya & go Cubbies ! George

Ah ScubaTexan I was rooting for the Cubbies long before you were born! Harry was not our man... Jack Brickhouse was. And I rooted for my great uncle George Halas' Chicago Bears.

Was able to watch the best part of today's game at the Dive Park (it was 0-0 when I went in for my last dive and they'd lost by the time I came out... I should have extended my surface interval).

...we wouldn't anyone to associate the word "venerable" with you....Don Zimmer, maybe, but not you....LOL ;)

Ah ScubaTexan... I have no problem with my age! In fact I'd much rather be my age than that of those a bit younger than you, many of whom do not seem to have a sense of values or ethics. I am proud to have survived the era of the belt and corporal punishment... not to mention surviving the many decades of abuse I've given my body breathing gasses underwater under pressure!

Of course I plan to live to a ripe old age so I may only be middle aged these days. Why, I might even see the Cubs repeat... in a few more decades!

And Don Zimmer almost seemed to "deserve" what he got (not that I condone such behavior). Old fart or not, when you act like a kid you get dealt a kid's hand.
