Just think how happy those 40,000 people that have tickets for tomorrow's game are.
Wood is no shlub.

I will watch it in the comfort of my home and IF they are winning I will go down to the park around the 7th inning. I will cheer for you Nat. Bye bye, I can't beleive that I'm still up. I have to get up @ 6:00 am,:( ;-0 :upset:

The question is: Can the Cubs win in spite of Dusty Baker?

I have been crazy for the Cubs since I was a kid..grew up in Chicago...south side, so not the friendliest of areas to be a Cubs fan. My heart broke last night and visions of 1984 flew through my head! But I remain faithful and true to my Cubs...who give me the lingering hope for tonight!

My good thoughts and wishes are with Wood and all you die-hards!!!

i said wood and hard....sorry had to go there ...;-0

Where on the south side?
I grew up at 95th and Yates. But my family were all Cubs fans, and still are although they live in LA now.

Grew up in the south suburbs, then moved to 111th and Troy.

My best wishes to you tonight! My sister was a Sox's fan...made it hard. I'm still not giving up!

Just in case we need to remember how bad it can be... here are 20 major events that have occurred since the Chicago Cubs last laid claim to a World Series Championship: _

4. George Burns celebrated his 10th, 20th, 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th, 70th, 80th, 90th and 100th birthdays.

6. Harry Caray was born... and died. _Incredible, but true!

Well, I am afraid to say it, but I think its goin to be a.....

YANKEES / MARLINS WORLD SERIES........

If it's a Yankees-Marlins World Series, I probably won't watch. I've boycotted the World Series before (I didn't watch any of the Yankees-Padres Series a few years back), and I'll have no qualms about doing the same this time, since it would likely be a four-game sweep. There are few things in this world that I hate more than watching the Yankees (and Herr Steinbrenner) celebrate! :(

Wow such confidence about the Marlins!
