Anyone have experience with other locations/options if the Coz port remains closed this week? What a disaster for our vacation if we can't do some dives this week. Thanks for any suggestions. These are north winds.

Monday looks bad - only good for mainland cenotes, but Tuesday looks better, even better later with wind from the east, then southeast. Winter diving is always a gamble there. Good luck.if the Coz port remains closed this week?
When the port is closed and Aldora is going out on the other side, they take care of people who were already booked with them, And if you're lucky you might find a spot. We weren't.Check with Aldora Divers. In the past they have dived the east side of the island.
Just seconding this. Monday looks shot, Tuesday not guaranteed but probably open (especially by the afternoon). Wednesday-Saturday looks like port should be open unless forecast changes a lot.Monday looks bad - only good for mainland cenotes, but Tuesday looks better, even better later with wind from the east, then southeast. This is not an accurate statement. When the "port" closes, it is virtually synonymous with a small craft advisory. It doesn't automatically shut everything down, there are size restrictions based on the intensity of the wind and waves. It take a lot to shut the ferries down. Going to the mainland to dive the cenotes is an excellent option when the port is closed for aquatic activity on the Cozumel side. When the port is closed and Aldora is going out on the other side, they take care of people who were already booked with them, And if you're lucky you might find a spot. To the person who said to go do the cenotes, when the port is closed everything's shut down including the ferry
The ferries were shut down when we got hit by El norte in 2019 and we swore we'd never go to cozumel in December again. Thanks for clarifying. This is not an accurate statement.
