Where do you keep your snorkel?

Pocket, but only when I have to have it on me for classes (SDI requirement). Otherwise, it stays in my bag. I despise the danged thing. The only time I actually use one is when snorkeling pool laps.

mine is about where Roger said his is. Especially now that I'm no longer required to have one for teaching with NAUI which is great.
If I'm in OW though, I usually do what @PfcAJ said and tuck it in the retainer loop that usually has a backup light. For those dives I will swap a backup light out for the snorkel. Stays out of the way and is easy to find since I'm too cheap to buy a roll-up snorkel. Don't know where I learned that trick, but it has been a convenient one for sure.
No idea what I'd do if I had to wear a jacket bc as there isn't really any place to put it, but we can just add that to the long list of reasons I think jacket bc's are dumb

I'm with most everyone else here. But since I have to keep it with me for instruction, when I'm not wearing it for classes, I have that roll-up Aqualung snorkel in the little nautilus shaped plastic case either on a clip on my bcd, or in a pocket. The nice thing about it is that it's low volume, easy to clear, and smooth and flexible, so that it just bends over if anything gets caught on it.

But yeah. Hiking pilots notwithstanding, I can count on one finger the number of times I regretted not having one. If it's too choppy to snorkel, I should be coming back underwater anyway. And if I have to snorkel bc I ran out of air, shame on me.

A hanging pocket or bcd pocket is just fine.

Mine is rotting somewhere in the bottom of my bag since I bought it for a one-time use whalehark snorkeling about 6 years ago but if I had to carry one now, it would be one of the roll-up 100% Silicone models since they should hold up better. Under $25 for a name brand - a couple on Amazon:

I voted "folded in the pocket" but it is not completely true: when I'm absolutely sure that I'll not need it, it will stay in the bag. Usually, diving with no current and no waves in easy places (recreational dives) I do not carry it with me. In every other dive it is in the pocket - never used, but just in case.
Sometimes, in tropical sea, i do some snorkel on the reef between the dives.

I have a box in my garage with a few snorkels I've found. I use one when I go snorkeling. I haven't gone snorkeling in about twenty years.
