Does anyone use an Air2 and Octo or is that just unnecessary bulk?
I have seen people diving that way on boats. But I don't understand the appeal

I use a primary reg on a longer hose, an identical backup reg on a shorter hose with a necklace, and a standard 2-button power inflator. No frills, no problems

I run a long hose 40 inches under the arm or a 60 inches wrapped for my primary and the secondary is on a necklace and a 22 inches hose. I use a Scubapro Mark 2 Evo first stage but that has been supplanted by a Scubapro Mark 11 for the rig below. Second stages are either G250 or G260.

Sometimes for tropical travel resort diving I configure for the DGX BCI combo reg/inflator and run a long hose primary (40 inches under the arm) with a G250. This is usually rigged with the Mark 11.

Either or but not both. Unnecessary bulk and can be confusing in an OOA emergency.
