I don't know what this means for delivery dates, but there has been a battle going on between Pressed Steel and the community of West Allis over the Pressed Steel plant for the past several years. It looks to be coming to a resolution...although it would be nice if PST were to step up to the plate and speak to the issue instead of simply issuing a string of bovine effluence delivery dates that hurt their credibility. Oh, well, here's wishing that they get their manufacturing/delivery schedules ironed out or that someone else comes up with a tank as good as theirs. Soon.

Pressed Steel relocating
Milwaukee Journal Sentinal - January 10, 2005

"A West Allis manufacturer is relocating to Tower Automotive Inc.’s underused factory complex on Milwaukee’s north side, bringing new jobs to that ailing area.

Pressed Steel Tank Co. plans to move from 1445 S. 66th St. to 3522 N. 35th St. by March 15, said John Stibal, West Allis development director. The City of West Allis bought Pressed Steel’s current facility last month, and it will be demolished to make way for a previously announced housing and retail development."

Big redevelopment advances
Milwaukee Journal Sentinal - July 16, 2004

"...Pressed Steel Tank announced that it would vacate its 320,000-square-foot complex to make way for the project. About 40 properties in all have been acquired and either have been or will be demolished for improvements in the farmers market and nearby Six Points neighborhoods."

Inasmuch as Worthington recently purchased Heiser, how do the new Worthington scuba tanks compare to the old hernias? Sorry for being too lazy to go look up the old numbers, but those monsters were...well, monsters.

Leadking:
I just received from Worthington the final weights on our first production run of low pressure cylinders. The mean averages for cylinder weight are as follows:

85 cf 34.3 lb
95 cf 40.3 lb
108 cf 43.9 lb
121 cf 47.9 lb

all weights are without valve.

We will be updating our website http://www.seapearls.com/tanks-steel.html as we continue to develop the data.

Will these tanks have a TC - transport Canada stamp on them?

I will state for the second time "Worthington cylinders are made in Tilbury, Canada (about 30 miles from Detroit). Other than owning Heiser there is NO relationship by Heiser to our product. We worked directly with Worthington to develop the design criteria, tooling, etc.

Yes, they will be DOT/TC stamped
