Same psi at less displacement means less gas, right?

Not necessarily. I am using displacement to denote the amount of water that the tank will 'move out of the way' when it is submerged. This is different than capacity - how much the tank will hold.StSomewhere:Same psi at less displacement means less gas, right?
Leadking, no insult intended. I guess wasting hours on end trying to find PSTs has made me cynical, bitter, and untrusting.Leadking:It is unfair to catagorize Sea Pearls and XS Scuba in the same realm with other cylinder manufacturers. Sea Pearls and XS Scuba WILL deliver Worthington HP cylinders. WE HAVE the steel. All we are waiting for is DOT/TC approval.
The spec's are from drawings and will be updated as soon as we get them. LP cylinders are done and shipping mid February. I will answer any questions regarding Worthington Cylinders.

Mitten Diver:Leadking,
Any idea on pricing of these bad boys?

About 800 psi. The answer is that some high Pressure cylinders are made from 3AA steel (a DOT approved material) others are made from higher strength alloy steel (that allows for thinner wall thickness and a lighter cylinder) that is not a DOT standard and must go through a more rigorous testing and approval process. This additional testing must be done during manufacturing and through destructive testing of the finished product. Upon approval from DOT these cylinders are granted an exemption (E-9791 in the case of PST). This exemption is monitored for safety and must be renewed by the manufacturer every two years. Production for each lot of exempt cylinders cannot be more than 200 finished cylinders, other than those used for destructive testing (each lot must be tested). Because of the higher cost of steel and testing requirements these cylinders are sold at a premium.Sapper:What are the differences between High pressure and Low pressure tanks
