Again, I'm more than a little fascinated about the cultural divide across the pond. Y'all on the left side of the pond seem to regard a knife as a weapon. As do some left-wing urbanites over here, too, but I'm digressing. Again. But generally, a knife is just a tool over here. That's why I carry a 15cm/6" blade knife on my calf. I don't think it's as much a weapon as it is a phallic symbol for a lot of folks.
