That's why they make boltsnaps. I sewed one onto my DAN safety sausage after getting sick of that little plastic clip. I told them that they must not intend it to be used by coldwater divers.

My biggest one is tank bangers. Useless and should be relegated to history.
 
Crocodile Dundee dive knives crack me up. Though I had big ole one myself back in the day.
 
...and retractors.

Retractors?? :confused: Retractors are the best thing since sliced bread, in my world of dive gear. :)

I'm right with you on the noise makers, though. Ditto on plastic clips of any kind. Useless BC pockets merit an honorable mention.

Oh, and the little metal rods people use for poking reefs and wildlife -- I have a well-developed disdain for those, and wish they didn't exist. I can see where they might have legitimate use, but have yet to see any used appropriately.
 
Plastic clips (any size) and loooooong HP hoses.
