Wondering if you maintain the SP regs or the Apex regs (shown in your profile), or both. I'm looking at needing to make some changes and have been thinking about the desirability of being able to maintain regs myself.

Only the Apeks. I have two DS4s and two APX50s. I use them for my bailout and deco regulators. The SPs are on my rebreather, and I haven't tackled them yet. Once I find a source for parts, I will be doing them as well.

The Apeks are stupid simple to overhaul and tune.

Oceanic or Mares.

Ok, I'm feeling free. Both Aqua Lung and Apeks are under the corporate umbrella of Air Liquide, a French company. They also own several other diving related companies. Incidentally, annual sales of the entire US scuba industry amount to chump change when compared with the annual sales of Air Liquide.

Some of the companies Air Liquide own:- Aqualung, Sea Quest, US Divers, Technisub, Apeks, Suunto.

I have a D300 second stage ,can i pair it up with a MK10?
Can i still get MK10 Serviced?
If so i woud like to pair them up.

Yes, yes, and great idea. You'll have to find a tech that's got some experience with the D series 2nds. DA Aquamaster is a real expert on those regs in particular and could tell you exactly what would be involved with upgrading the D300 to D400 status, and if it would be worth it.

OTOH, if you want to bail on the idea and get a new reg, I'm looking for a D series 2nd stage, so I'd be happy to provide a new home for yours.

I have an Apeks XTX50 and I love it. It is breaths easy even at depth. I dive primarily cold water , not warm, but it holds up well against free flows at depth. Very nice reg.

Actually i purchased it from DA Aquamaster, and i have already had it serviced.
I think all i have to do is find a MK10 Have it serviced and then put d300 on it.

Seems to me that any second stage will work with any first stage as long as the 1st stage is tuned to the IP that the second stage likes. We tune just about every brand's IP to 140 psi. The main exception is Poseidon, where some unbalanced first stages can have as much as 170 psi.

The second stage doesn't know whose first stage is feeding it; it only knows how much input pressure it is getting.

Tfsails,

I'm sure you know this, but just to clarify:
The first order of business is to ensure the first stage is putting out the correct intermediate pressure (as stated most are ~ 135 +/- 10 psi) and locks up (IP does not continue to climb.)

Then the second stage is tuned to the the intermediate pressure.
