hi,
i will be spending 7 weeks in Semporna with my husband (for his dive master course). i am wondering what kind of clothes are acceptable for women to wear in the town and the surrounding areas. i would normally wear tank tops, shorts, and flip flops every day, but i am wondering what is culturally appropriate. do i need to cover my shoulders, cover my knees, or wear a skirt? what should i pack? thanks so much!! shannon

You should be fine with your usual outfit ;) Have fun there and make sure you try the cheap seafood in Tawau.

You should be okay with that, provided not too skimpy. Go for light coloured clothing - dark colours attract mosquitos. You might want to take some long pants too.
