My understanding is that Cave 3 and Tech 3 aren't really classes, they are more like learning "expedition" programs and have a longer duration.
The only C3 I know of was a fairly normal class, done mostly at Manatee Springs.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on the notion that ppo2 doesn't influence vasoconstriction. I certainly believe that gas breaks assist with deco efficiency, but I don't see any value in doing them shallower than 20'.

For a 250' thing I'd use 15/55 (maybe ramp up the helium some cuz I like it).

For what "cert" I'm using for dives, there isn't a really card for this type of stuff. You're given the tools, its up to you to apply the tools. Imo the best way to learn to do advanced dives is through mentorship on a long term project.

Fwiw, Cave 3 has a tech 2 prerequisite but no one takes C3 anyways.

thanks for clarification, I wanted to check if those limits were during training, or once certified you were held to those limits as well. Makes much more sense that way. I do agree on mentorship vs. courses and I think that is something that GUE does better than the other agencies *obviously with some exceptions*.

I think that the intent of the c1 limits is for them to be held to between c1 and c2.

that was referring to the time limits in the tech side. 30 minute deco limit at tech 1, and a 60 minute deco obligation at tech 2, not the depth limits or any of the limits in the cave curricula

30min deco limit for t1 makes sense because 1 bottle.

T2 becomes t2+ after 25 dives which opens your limits to 90m, 90mins deco and 3 deco gases.

" I'd love to pop you into a Tech 2 course with Gideon and just be a fly on the wall.

Arg, I'm taking T2 from Gideon in January, don't be making me more nervous than I already am!

The mid-class existential crisis is completely normal.
